TAMARA FOGLE

These bags are made using Antique Hungarian grain sacks, dating from 1910-1930.  The sacks were hand-woven with flax linen, known for its durability and strength.  The weaver would sometimes embroider their initials onto the sacks and the varying stripes would indicate where in the country they came from.

What better than to take a wonderful, very functional antique fabric full of history and character and revive, recycle, and re-new it; To turn it onto something that we can use and love today.
